News on Somerset Covid Active Travel

We welcome the announcement by the Secretary of State of the second tranche of funding for Active Travel Schemes in Somerset.

Active Travel is very much a joint initiative between the five Somerset councils, Avon and Somerset Police, and Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership and collectively a bid was submitted for a specific programme of schemes across the county. We will be working together closely to deliver schemes identified from that programme subject to satisfactory consultation with the public and local businesses.
